Accessibility:

There are steps and uneven surfaces within the garden.  Wheelchair access is by prior permission only, wheelchairs are available to hire but must be booked in advance.  No parking on site or on the road immediately surrounding the venue, but visitors can be dropped off. Please be aware that the streets are very narrow. Steep walk to the Barnoon car park.  Slight incline if walking from the Harbour or town centre. Toilet on site, but the house is a simple one-up-one-down and so unfortunately cannot accommodate the facilities required for an adapted toilet.

Brief Description:

The house, sculpture garden and museum were opened in 1976 and contain a collection of art work by Barbara Hepworth including sculptures of bronze, stone and wood. Barbara Hepworth lived and worked in Trewyn studios (now the Barbara Hepworth Museum) from 1949 until her death in 1975.  She designed the garden herself and most of the sculptures are still as she positioned them. Further art work is on display in the Tate Gallery St Ives. For more information please see: https://barbarahepworth.org.uk/st-ives/
