Accessibility:

There is plenty of on-road parking on Barry Island as well as a dedicated car park just off Harbour Road; parking for disabled blue badge holders is free here. The pleasure park has its own on-site parking at a cost of £2.00 for 2 hours or £5.00 all day. Public toilets, with Radar key access for the disability toilet, are located at both the eastern parade next to the beach huts and behind the western shelter by Marco’s Café. The area is relatively flat and is wheelchair friendly; you can even borrow beach-friendly wheelchairs for free from the tourism office.

Brief Description:

Barry Island (Ynys y Barri) is a seaside resort on the peninsula of the town of Barry. It was originally an island until the 1880s when it linked to the mainland when the dockland area of Barry was developed. Barry Island is now a holiday destination with its own train station, Pleasure Park, sandy beach and many shops and other activities.

Directions:

Barry Island is situated near to the sea front at Barry. Follow the A4050 through Barry, this changes into Harbour Road and on towards Barry Island.
