Accessibility:

There is a small layby on the opposite side of the road to the chapel entrance, but the road is quite narrow. There is a two inch stone step up into the front courtyard and a very small lip at the threshold of the porch. The ground floor of the interior is flat and carpeted, but there is a small step into the pews from the central nave and access to the upper stalls is via a flight of wooden steps. Doorways are generally double or wide single doors throughout. There is a toilet on site, but there are no disability facilities. 

Brief Description:

Bwlchnewydd Baptist Chapel lies on a minor road outside of Cross Inn on the Laugharne to St Clears Road. It was built in 1802 and rebuilt in 1831. The building is constructed with its gable end to the road and has a gable entry porch. In the last few years it received Heritage Lottery Funding and was refurbished in 2009.

Directions:

From St Clears head south on High Street/Bridge Street and turn right just after the bridge. Follow this lane to a crossroads (about a mile) and turn left (signposted Talacharne / Laugharne). The chapel is around three quarters of a mile down this lane on the left hand side.
