Accessibility:

Wheelchair access from street level via a wheelchair lift to Ground Floor, with lift available to First Floor.

All floors are level with exception of the Council Chamber which has steps.

Disabled Parking is available at the front of the building ~ it is recommended that contact should be made with the City Hall prior to a visit to confirm availability, due to events.

Brief description:

Situated between the National Museum and Law Courts at the City Civic Centre, the City Hall was opened in 1906, and is mainly used for conferences and exhibitions, but is also open to visitors.

A large art collection is on display throughout the building ~ leaflets are available describing the items on display.

It is also the City’s Registry Office and houses the Cardiff Council Debating Chamber, home to the full Council meetings.

Directions:

The Civic Centre is adjacent to the A470 in the Centre of the City.

Follow signs for the City Centre from any direction.

No car parking facilities are available at the Hall. Payable on-street parking is available on the roads adjacent to the Hall, as well as an open air car park at Castle Mews and North Road, which are again fee-paying, and short walk away via a Subway.
