Brief Description:

The priory was founded in 1089 by William de Warenne. The church was consecrated between 1146 and 1148 and was home to 20 or 30 monks up to the time that the priory was dissolved in 1537 under Henry VIII. The ruins today are impressive; the great west front of the building and the roofed prior's lodging are almost complete.
