Accessibility:

There is plenty of blue badge parking in Nottingham both on street and in car parks. Many of the attractions in Nottingham are wheelchair accessible, however it is advisable to check with each venue prior to your visit. Nottingham City has fifteen of the new style fully accessible toilets called "Changing Places" toilets which include a height adjustable changing bench and washbasin, a hoist system to lift people between wheelchairs and the toilet, enough space to ensure the bench and toilet can be approached from either side. Nottingham Tourism Centre: has level access and automatic entrance doors, an induction loop and a Minicom available for use on the counter which has lowered sections, and guide dogs are welcome. There are several car parks nearby, all within a five minute walk and all with blue badge parking (Lace Market and Trinity Square being the nearest) • Blue badge parking bays are available on both King Street and Queen Street just opposite the Tourism Centre. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Public House is an historic building immediately south of Nottingham Castle.

Nottingham is a city in Nottinghamshire in the East Midland. The legend of Robin Hood is linked to Nottingham, and it is known for its tobacco, and lace making industries. In October 2015 it was named the Home of English Sport. It has two universities and is also home to Notts Country, the world's oldest professional football club, which was formed in 1862. It is also home to Nottingham Forest football club.

Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Public House is an historic building immediately south of Nottingham Castle, on the western side of the centre of Nottingham.

Nottingham Tourism Centre is situated in the centre of Nottingham in a pedestrianised area underneath the Council House just off Old Market Square, and is well signposted throughout the city. There is seating available in this area along with accessible toilets just opposite on Greyhound Street • There are several car parks nearby, all within a five minute walk and all with blue badge parking (Lace Market and Trinity Square being the nearest) • Blue badge parking bays are available on both King Street and Queen Street just opposite the Tourism Centre.


Nottingham can be reached by several routes, including the following:

From Hucknall via A611 (7.0m). Take Beardall St to Portland Rd. Drive from Nottingham Rd, A611, and Mansfield Road to Nottingham.

From Stanton-on-the-Wolds via Melton Rd/A606 (10.3m). Head north east on Browns Lane. Follow Melton Rd/A606 and A52 to Queens Drive/A453 in Nottingham. Take the A453 exit from Clifton Blvd/A52. Continue on Queens Drive/A453 to your destination.
