Accessibility:

The closest car park is Boggle Hole on Bridge Holm Lane. There are also pay and display car parks at the top of Robin Hood's Bay. Please note: there is no access by car down into the old village, and it is a steep walk down... and up! Cars can drive down Cleveland Way, but once at the bottom is it a steep and uneven walk down to Boggle Hole, so not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. There are public toilets which are wheelchair accessible in nearby Robin Hood's Bay.

Brief Description:

Boggle Hole lies next to Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors National Park. In local folklore Boggles were believed to be little people that inhabited many of the caves running along the coast, but it is thought that this natural coastal cave was used by smugglers as somewhere to unload and hide their contraband.
