Accessibility:

There is car parking on the roads around Leconfield. Leconfield is generally wheelchair accessible, however it is advisable to check with individual venues prior to your visit. There are no public toilets in Leconfield, however there are several in nearby Beverley including wheelchair-accessible toilets in Sow Hill, Dyer Lane, Lord Roberts Road, Beverley Bus Station and Beverley Railway Station. Wheelchair accessible toilets are accessed via a RADAR key.


Brief Description:

Leconfield is a village three miles north-west of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is home to RAF Leconfield which is now an airfield for Sea King helicopters and the Defence School of Transport. A point of interest is St Catherine’s Church which is a Grade I Listed Building originating from the 12th Century.

Directions:

From Beverley via A164. Head north-east on Newbegin towards Lairgate/A164. Turn left onto Lairgate/A164. Continue straight onto North Bar Without/A164. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Driffield Road/A1035. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Driffield Road/A164. Continue to follow for 1.5 miles until you reach your destination.


From Pocklington via A1079. Take The Balk.B1247 to A1079. Follow A1079 for 3.9 miles. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Road/A1079. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Giant Bradley Way/A1079. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on A1079 for 5.1 miles. Turn left onto Highgate. Continue onto Main Street. Continue onto Miles Lane. Turn right onto Old Road. Turn right onto Main Street/A164.
