There is an on-site car park at the rear of the museum (in Agard Street). There is ramped/level access to the gardens and the lower and ground floor of the museum only. Public toilets including baby-changing facilities are available on the first and second floor, however there are no accessible toilets at this museum. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Brief Description:
Pickford’s House is a Grade I Listed building which was built in 1770 by architect Joseph Pickford. He built it as a home for his own family to live in. It changed ownership several times over the years until it was purchased by Derby City Council in 1982. Since 2012 it has been run by the Derby Museums Trust and is now a museum of 18th and 19th Century upper middle class life in Derby.
