Brief Description:

St Nicholas Church was built in the late 14th Century with building completed in the 15th Century. It was restored during the Victorian period. It has stained glass windows, ornate carvings and the tombs of Sir John Marmion, a knight who died in 1387 whilst fighting in Spain, and his wife Elizabeth Marmion who died in 1400. It sits next to Marmion Tower, a 15th Century Gatehouse which is all that remains of the manor house belonging to the Marmion family. St Nicholas Church is a Grade II Listed Building.
