Accessibility:

Parking is available along the wide tarmac roads that run throughout the grounds of the Chapel. Narrower tarmac pathways with lowered curb stones enable guests to explore the graveyard. There are benches on the grassy areas throughout the grounds.

There is a paved ramp and hand rails for disabled access to the main entrance. Access into the building is good and once inside, all floors/doorways are level with wide doors and walkways throughout. There are disability toilet facilities and a defibrillator available. There are also hearing systems available.


Brief Description:

On-site there is a Chapel, cemetery and crematorium. The original building dates back to 1899, the building was altered in 1960 to also offer cremations and the building has undergone major refurbishment in 2016. The chapel can seat 100 guests. Cremations and burials take place at various times throughout the week. A Remembrance Hall houses a leather-bound Book of Remembrance which is available for viewing.

Situated approximately 1 mile north of the center of Douglas, 100 yards west of the TT course Start and Finish Line and its grandstand building, on the north side of the A2 (Glencrutchery Road).
