Accessibility:

The car park at the Grove Museum is on level ground, it has two disability parking spaces. The ticket office is near the car park, there is one step to the entrance. There are 3 toilets behind the ticket office but no dedicated disability toilet. There is a nappy-changing facility inside the women's toilet.
There are three steps up to the front door of the house.  There is a back door without steps that can be used on request.  The only access to the first floor is via the stairs. There are paths around the grounds which may be uneven in places.

Brief Description:

The Grove Museum is a Manx Heritage site. The house was built in the mid 1800's by the Gibbs family from Liverpool and originally used for holidays, it later became their permanent home. The house, grounds and outbuildings have been preserved and provide an insight into Victorian and Edwardian life.

Directions:

From Ramsey go north along the A9 toward Andreas, it is on the left hand side.  It is just over 1 mile (1.7km) from the railway station in Ramsey. OS 444 956

Transport:

There are buses from Ramsey bus station to the North of the Island, which pass the Grove Museum. The Electric railway from Douglas stops at Ramsey.

Amenities:

There is a small gift shop and a vending machine dispensing hot drinks in the ticket office. The  small conservatory and the lawned area in front is available for visitors to sit and enjoy refreshments from The Grove Shop and to have a picnic.
There are a range of cafes, pubs and accommodation in Ramsey.
