Brief Description:

Ramsey is the main town in the north of the Isle of Man and also the location of the Mooragh Park, which is a free public recreation area.  It is the second largest town on the island after Douglas and has one of the biggest harbours on the island. It was once a main point of communication with Scotland, and was a route for several invasions by Vikings and Scots. The town is also known as Royal Ramsey, due to royal visits by Queen Victoria in 1847 and King Edward VII in 1907.
