Accessibility:

There is free parking 400 yards/365.7 metres from the house and blue badge parking bays available. The gardens are on level ground and with ramped access into the house. There are wheelchair accessible lifts between floors. An adapted disability toilet is provided near to the shop, and wheelchairs and mobility vehicles are available to borrow on request. Guide dogs also have full access to all areas and an induction loop system operates within the house

The walk from the riverside car park (not National Trust) is c.400 yards. We strongly recommend walking or cycling to visit us. Bike racks are available on site.

A mobility scooter is available for use in the grounds. Please email Hamhouse@nationaltrust.org.uk to book this. There is a suggested donation of £3.

Guide dogs welcome.

Located on the edge of the River Thames and set in glorious gardens, Ham House is a 17th century mansion with beautiful interiors exhibiting paintings, textiles and many unique artefacts.

Directions:

Ham House is on the south of the River Thames and east of Twickenham. The area of Ham is accessible from the A316 north and the A3 south. From the A316 take the exit on the roundabout onto the B322. Follow the road south and at the junction continue south along the A321 until reaching the turn for the A307. Follow the road south and turn east onto Sandy Lane and then north onto Ham Street. The garden entrance will become visible on the east side of the street. 
From the south on the A3 join the A308 towards Kingston Hospital and take the turn for Park Road and Tudor Drive north. Cross over the junction onto Dukes Avenue and follow the road north along Riverside Drive. Turn north at the junction onto Ham Street and the entrance to the house will be visible on the east side of the street.

Within the grounds the café serves sandwiches, cakes and homemade soups and uses a variety of locally grown produce in the gardens. Picnic sites are also available. As well as a second hand bookshop the house also has a gift shop selling plants, local produce and National Trust books.

House open from12noon to 4.00pm, Wednesday to Sunday from 7 October. Visits are limited to ensure social distancing and entry to the house is not guaranteed on the day you visit.

To avoid disappointment please book in advance, especially at busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. However, where space is available on weekdays, pre-booking may not always be necessary. If you do not book we cannot guarantee admission.

In line with government guidelines you're required to wear a face covering in most enclosed spaces. Please bring one with you.

Toilet and baby changing facilities will be available. Please note some cubicles may be roped off to ensure social distancing.

Car parking spaces may be severely limited. Free parking, 400 yards away in riverside car park (not National Trust). Please consider walking or cycling to us. Bike racks are available.
