Brief Description:
The Hywel Dda Garden and Heritage Centre is dedicated to the good deeds and laws of Hywel Dda, the king of Wales who lived during the first half the 10th century. Legend has it that Hwyel Dda called a meeting of lawyers in what is now Whitland to draw up a unified legal code for the country - what became known as the 'Laws of Hwyel'. Examples of these are displayed on plaques around the gardens.
There is also an interpretation centre, and conference facilities available to hire.
