Brief description
"The library stands behind the clock tower which was erected by Tom Pedlingham in memory of his wife Alice. Erected in 1931, the 10 metres high clock tower is known locally as Aunt Alice.
Humphry Walwyn, benefactor to Colwall, was a member of the Worshipful Company of Grocers in London. In 1614 he left a legacy to fund a free grammar school in the village. The school has survived though it is now known as the Elms School, an independent prep school."Address
