Brief description
https://llanerchydolhall.com/history/
"Llanerchydol Hall (Grade II*) is a magnificent, gothic, turreted mansion with a rich history dating back to the 1700s. The Hall has been sold a few times since, with the 55 acres of Repton inspired parkland no longer in the same ownership as the Hall. The house, in its current form is situated in approximately 12 acres of stunning countryside, within the protected Grade II* listed parkland.
Llanerchydol Hall, also Grade II* listed, was bought by friends in early 2022, and we are hoping to restore the Hall and Gardens to their former glory.Historical details and images about the Hall may be accessed here: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/29452/ "

"STAY IN THE EXTRAORDINARY
We have 5 gorgeous spaces available for short term holiday lets. The best rates are always by booking directly with us eg. weekend stay for 2 on a Friday and Saturday for £250.
The apartment, sleeping 2, has amazing views across magical, majestic Grade II* listed Repton inspired parkland, only minutes from the long distance footpath, Glyndwr’s Way. Exposed beams and floorboards, vaulted ceilings, period radiators, eclectic furnishings. It has a fully fitted kitchen, sitting room, wood burner and a designer bathroom. The sitting room has a sofa-bed, made up request.
Our other suites do not have their own kitchen but you are welcome to utilise the communal kitchen in the West Wing :
The India Suite, linking the hall's historic connections to the tea trade, also sleeps 2. It has exposed floorboards, period features, a beautiful sitting room and being situated on the ground floor, opens directly onto a sunny cobbled courtyard. Indian artifacts and carved bed.
The Egypt Suite also opens onto the cobbled courtyard. It is on two levels. The bedroom, on the first floor overlooks the magnificent Repton-inspired Parkland, features a sleigh bed, wood-burner and exposed floorboards. It is where Angela Verdon spent her waking hours, in her latter years. The sitting room for the Egypt Suite is on the ground floor.
The Slate Suite and the Reserve Suite are our latest additions and each features a walk-in shower and a separate bath. The Slate Suite has a Super King-size bed and a French daybed (which may be made up on request). Both overlook the rear of the hall and the Stables.
The hall itself retains 12 acres of grounds which include a Knot and Japanese Garden; anyone staying at the Hall is welcome to walk in the grounds and enjoy the breath taking views. There are specimen trees here-Sequoias, Cedars and a Dawn Redwood which was thought to be extinct until it's rediscovery in the 1950s. In the summer, you can hear the steam train on its way, up the valley, hooting at Powis Castle. In the winter, it is the owl’s domain. There are spectacular night skies, unspoilt by pollution, and the Welsh mountains beckon. Come and relax here. Breathe in the calm and still.
Gordan Castle toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy towels and jaw-dropping architecture for a memorable stay.
Dogs are welcome in the Egypt, India, Reserve Suites, and the Apartment at an additional fee of £10 per stay.
Email hello@llanerchydolhall.com for availability/bookings.
To set expectations:
We are not a hotel and do not have a bar and restaurant onsite although the Raven Inn is a 20 minute walk through Grade II* listed parkland. We are able to supply a continental breakfast.
The hall is a work in progress, and there will be evidence of this during your stay. It should not, however, impact on your enjoyment. We wholeheartedly thank you for staying with us; by doing so, you help to preserve an important part of our heritage, and enable us to continue with the restoration of Llanerchydol Hall."

Alternatively, follow the signs for the steam train through Welshpool. At the Raven Inn/Steam Train roundabout, take the A490 to Llanfyllin.
