Brief Description:

New Ross is a town in Wexford County, located on the river Barrow. It was the location of one of the bloodiest battles of the 1798 rebellion. Places of interest in the town include the John F. Kennedy statue, which is opposite the New Ros Tapestry Exhibition and 200 yards north of the Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience. In the countryside south of the town are The John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, The Kennedy Homestead at Dunganstown, and Tintern Abbey ruins. All of these venues are open to the public and are listed elsewhere on this website.
