Accessibility:
Disability parking spaces available outside the centre. Carpark is pay and display Mon – Sat, 8:30am – 6:30pm. There is ramp access to the building and lifts to the upper floor. The lift fits 2 people only with a max load of 285kg. There is an accessible toilet on both levels. The doors are manual. There is a ramp onto the ship which is quite narrow and there is a chair lift to get into the body of the ship. The inside of the ship is quite narrow.
Brief Description:
Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience is centred on a reproduction of a 1840’s emigrant vessel, providing visitors with an insight into the struggles Irish people faced at the time of the Famine. Guided tours are available, with costumed performers and themed exhibitions.
