Accessibility:

Parking is available at the Dunbrody Famine Ship, with pedestrian entrance from the street. There is a car park across the road from the centre which has parking spaces for people with disabilities. The exhibition gallery is wheelchair accessible however the toilets are located on the first floor, with no lift available so there is no wheelchair access to the toilets. It is quite dark inside the exhibition. Be aware of ramps within the exhibition space. Hand held audio guides are provided for the tour.

Gift shop on site. Amenities in the local area are plentiful and include, Bank of Ireland, coffee shops, cafés and bistros, shopping outlets and tourist attractions.

Brief Description:

The Ros Tapestry project is a community initiative started in 1998 and brought on by over 150 volunteers. It contains 15 embroidered, 6x4ft panels depicting events around the Anglo-Norman arrival to the south east of Ireland.

Situated 22.7 miles from Wexford via the N25. Or 14.4 miles from Waterford, again via the N25. Situated at the junction of Charles Street with The Quay, which has a public car park opposite. OS SL 636889.

Open daily Monday-Saturday 10am – 5pm. Closed Sundays.

Admission fees – Adults €6. Senior Citizens €5. Child/student €4. Family (2 adults & 3 children) €16. Groups and tours (minimum 12 people) – Adult and Senior citizens €4.50. Student/child €3. Free admission to annual subscribers, €30 single, €50 per couple. Payable annually, valid from 1st January – 31st December.
