Brief Description:
Barnby Dun is a small village in Doncaster, documented in the doomsday book as 'Barnebi'. In 1732 a canal was constructed, allowing the movement of farm products between Hull, Doncaster and Sheffield. The railway was built in 1845, allowing for wider industrial growth.

Situated 4.8 miles NE of Doncaster town centre. Head NE on Thorne Road. At roundabout take 2nd exit and continue on Thorne Road. At second roundabout take 2nd exit on Barnby Dun Road. Continue following this Road, which then becomes Doncaster Road/Station Road. On Station Road turn left onto High Street, leading into Barnby Dun. OS SE617091.
