There is level access on all floors, emergency access points on all floors, fully accessible toilets and changing facilities, extra wide corridors, portable induction loop and flashing beacon fire alarms. Assistance dogs are welcome. 

Brief Description:

The Art House was opened by a group of artists in 1994, with the aim of providing a fully accessible space for artists with and without disabilities to be able to work along side each other.

Directions:

Situated 3.5 miles north/east of Durkar. Head north/east on A636, at roundabout take 3rd exit onto Denby Dale Road/A636. At next roundabout take 2nd exit to stay on Denby Dale Road/A636. At 3rd roundabout take 1st exit onto Charlesworth Way/A636. At next roundabout take 2nd exit to stay on A636. At junction turn left onto Ings Road/A638. At next junction turn right onto A642, continuing straight onto Westgate. Turn slight left onto Mulberry Way. Turn right onto CFliff Lane and right again onto Back Lane, which will lead to Drury Lane. The Art House will be on your right hand side. OS SE329207

Wakefield Westgate station is situated a short distance from the art house. Bus services operate in and around the area, with the closest stop located on Westgate.
