Brief Description:
In Bede’s writings in the 7th century AD he makes reference to a ‘bakehouse’ on the monastic site. St Peter's Church aims to emulate the ministry of hospitality that the ancient monastery offered to its visitors, with hot in-house made food and a warm welcome. It is run entirely by volunteers.

Directions:

Situated 0.8 miles South of Roker. Head South on Roker Baths Road. Turn left onto Bradling Street, and left again onto Givens Street. At the end of the road turn right onto A183/Harbour view. At the roundabout take 2nd exit and continue on A183. Turn left onto St Peters Way, and Bede's Bakehouse can be found in the grounds of St Peter's Church.
