Accessibility:

There is blue badge parking in Station Road car park near to the junction of Fore Street. There is also a short stay car park with one disability parking space on Plymouth Road near to the junction of Chapel Street. Further south along Plymouth Road is a wheelchair-accessible public toilet. Although narrow, pavements are wheelchair-accessible along the main streets of Fore Street and Chapel Street but parts of Plymouth Road have no pavement at all. The town centre has few slopes.

Brief Description:

Buckfastleigh prospered and grew with wealth generated from its wool, paper and corn mills. Today it is a centre for tourism, with local attractions including the South Devon Railway, Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Buckfast Abbey.

Directions:

Travelling north or south on the A38 Devon Expressway, take the exit south onto Dartbridge Road. At the junction of the B3380 Dartbridge Road, take the north east turn into Station Road to the town centre.
