There are car parks with designated blue badge parking bays throughout the city centre. Beverley is generally wheelchair accessible, however it is advisable to check with individual venues prior to your visit. There are some cobbled streets, which may affect the use of wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are public toilets including wheelchair accessible toilets in Dyer Lane, Lord Roberts Road, Beverley Bus Station and Beverley Railway Station. Wheelchair accessible toilets are accessed via a RADAR key.


Brief Description:

Beverley is a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is known for Beverley Minster church, North Bar, which is a 15th century Grade I Listed gate, St Mary's Church, and Beverley Racecourse. It is thought to have inspired the name of Beverley Hills in California and also Beverley in Massachusetts. The town was founded around 700AD and became a wool trading town. It is also known for hosting music and food festivals. Beverley is home to Beverley Grammar School which is the oldest state school in England. The Georgian Quarter of Beverley contains a large number of listed buildings.

From Hull via A1079 (10.5 miles). Continue to George Street/A165. Use any lane to turn right onto George Street/A165. Turn left onto New Cleveland Street/A1165. Follow Stoneferry Road to West Carr Lane. Take Stockholm Road to Ennerdale/A1033. Follow A1033, A1079 and A164 to The Leases in Beverley for 7.1 miles. Continue on The Leases. Turn right onto Newbegin.


From Pocklington via A1079 (19.3 miles). Take The Balk.B1247 to A1079. Follow A1079 to Killingwoldgraves Lane for 14.2 miles. Continue on Killingwoldgraves Lane. Take Coppleflat Lane, B1230 and Walkington Road to Newbegin in Beverley.
