Brief Description:
Holy Trinity Parish Church was built in 1872 and is also known as Holy Trinity New Church. It was commission by the 6th Earl Fitzwilliam in memory of his parents. It has a 200 foot tower and can seat over 500 people. It has stone vaulting and features stained glass windows. There is a carved stone depicting the Last Supper which was donated by the children of the 6th Earl. There is an original Father Willis organ which was built by Henry Willis I, and was installed in 1877. Although the organ was restored in 1980 and 2009 it still retains most of its original features. Because of the acoustics in the church it is regularly used as a venue for classical music concerts. It is a Grade II Listed Building.
