Brief Description:
Pocklington Registration Office is the Civil Registration Office for births, deaths and marriages, housed in Burnby Hall. Major Percy Marlborough Stewart owned the Estate from 1904 until his death in 1962, and lived in Burnby Hall. It is. The Stewart Suite marriage room is named after him. It is set overlooking the beautiful gardens that he and his wife created which have been described as “a jewel in Yorkshire’s crown”.

From York via A1079. Follow A1036 to A1237. At Hopgrove Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A64. Take the A1079/A166 exit towards York/Hull/Bridlington. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Hull Road/A1079 and continue to follow for 9.5 miles. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Hodsow Lane. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on Hodsow Lane. Continue onto West Green. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Station Road/B1247. Go through one roundabout and your destination will be on the left.
From Beverley via A1079. Head north-east on Newbegin towards Lairgate/A164. Turn left onto Lairgate/A164. Turn left onto York Road/A1174. At Killingwoldgraves Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A1079. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on A1079. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Giant Bradley Way/A1079. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York road/A1079 and follow for 4 miles. Turn right onto The Balk/B1247 and your destination will be on the right.
