Brief Description:

St Helen’s Church is a 19th Century church with a nave, chancel and north porch, it is a Grade II Listed building which sits in the grounds of Kilnwick Percy Hall. The church is now redundant and closed to the public. Within the grounds are Kilnwick Percy Hall and Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre. Also within the grounds are a gift shop, The World Peace café and The Wolds Retreat bed-and-breakfast accommodation.

From Pocklington via B1246. Head south-east on Regent Street towards New Street. Turn left onto New Street. Continue onto Percy Road. Turn right onto Kilnwick Road/B1246. Continue to follow B1246 for 0.9 miles. Turn left. Turn right. Slight right.


From Middleton-on-the-Wolds. Head north-east towards South Street. Turn right onto South Street. Turn left onto Chapel Lane. Turn right onto Front Street/A614. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Station Road. Turn left onto B1246. Continue to follow B1246 for 7.4 miles until you reach your destination.
