Accessibility:

There is parking in the Piccadilly Car Park, including designated blue badge parking bays. There are 9 Shopmobility parking bays on Level 2 which are free for users of the scheme, with or without a blue badge. Blue badge parking is free to all badge holders within the Piccadilly car park. The route from the car park to the entrance is wheelchair accessible and there is ramped access into the shopmobility office. There are lifts available to all floors. There are toilets available including wheelchair-accessible facilities.


Brief Description:

York Shopmobility is a registered charity which hires out manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and scooters on a daily/weekly basis. The staff are experienced and will know the right equipment you will need. They also hire out holiday scooter and wheelchairs. The staff will train you in the use of the equipment and ensure that you are confident to use it before you set off. Payments are on a cash only basis, and all wheelchair hire is subject to a refundable deposit. You will also need to provide two forms of identification before hiring any vehicle.
