Accessibility:

There is no on-site car park, however cars usually park on the grass verges opposite the church. The facilities comprise the church and a large downstairs room with a kitchen and wheelchair-accessible toilets. There is a ramped entrance providing wheelchair access.  Audiovisual equipment is provided.


Brief Description:

St Hilda's is a 19th century church that was fully modernised in 2004 with the proceeds of a bequest from local resident, Ingrid Flute, and a Rural Development Service grant. The Ingrid Flute Gallery is suitable for conferences and exhibitions.  During the summer months the Gallery hosts exhibitions by local artists.

Opening Hours:

Church services every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.30am.

The Ingrid Flute Gallery is open during exhibitions and there will be a gallery open sign displayed.

 

Directions:

From Whitby via A171 (13.9m). Take Church Street and Spital Bridge to Helredale Road/A171. Turn left onto Helredale Road/A171. Continue to follow A171 for 10.4 miles.  Take Gainforth Wath Road, Rudda Road and Scarborough Road to Raven Hall Road.

 

From Scarborough via A165 and A171 (10.6m). Head northwest on St Thomas St toward North St. Drive along A165 and A171 for 9 miles. Take Scarborough Road to Raven Hall Road.
