Accessibility:

There is a car park at the site of the Great Laxey Wheel, but there are no designated disability spaces. Entrance to the site is through a turnstile, but there is a gate on the opposite side for wheelchair access. The pathways are relatively flat, but there are stairs up to the wheel housing which would be unsuitable for wheelchairs or those who find stairs difficult. There are toilets at the venue, but they are not disability-friendly.

The venue has produced an online access guide: http://www.manxnationalheritage.im/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Laxey-Wheel-Access-Guide-2016.pdf
