Accessibility:

There is a small parking area available for visitors just outside the front gate; however please leave enough space for other vehicles to turn around. The ground is uneven and scattered with gravel which continues through the double latched gates up to the main entrance of the building. At the main entrance there has been a flat cement pathway implemented with a hand rail for assistance.

There is a 5cm step as you enter the building to be aware of; however once inside the floor if flat and the rooms are accessible.  The building has no toilet, but there are toilets 1 mile east at 2 venues (please see our website's entries for them) at Jurby Transport Museum (free entry) and the Isle of Man Motor Museum.

Brief Description:

St Jurby's Church became a registered Manx charity in 2015 due to being in danger of closure. Since, funds have been raised to repair & renovate the building and it is now being used for various historical events and exhibitions throughout the year.

Signposted 1/3 mile West of the A10 (Coast Road) at its crossroads with the B5 (Ballavarran Road), which is 1/3 mile South of Jurby prison.

29.9km North from Castletown Road, Douglas, Isle of Man.

17.4 miles/28km from the centre of Douglas via the A18, then take the A14 to Jurby.

Amenities:

There is a large notice board situated on the outskirts of the grounds displaying various events & exhibition dates, as well as there being an array of leaflets and information booklets situated inside the building for visitors; donations are welcome. (All events include Tea/coffee and various cakes) 

Inside the church you will find various displays, exhibitions & references of some of the island's rich historical culture. These include World War 1, Celtic Manx Crosses dating back from 6th-12th Century and the stained glass windows. There is also a self-service gift shop which offers an array of products ranging from food, drink, postcards & booklets to mugs and WW1 references. The Guardhouse Café is 1 mile east beside the Isle of Man Motor Museum (please see our website's venue entry for this).
