Brief Description:
Jurby prison was opened in 2008, at a cost of £41.7 million pounds. It replaced the old Victorian prison in Douglas after it was made apparent it could no longer meet the modern requirements and growing population of the Island. It is a single cell facility and holds male, female and young offenders.

Open during visiting hours. Tuesday - Sunday 1.50pm - 4.10pm.
 
Directions:
Situated 11km NW of Ramsey. Head N on A9 and turn right onto A10/Bride Road. Continue following A10, which then becomes Coast Road. Prison will be sign posted. OS SC357985.
