St Mary's Church Snettisham. Open hours vary. Free entry.
Details
Accessibility:
The church has its own car park and is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp up to the entrance. There is access to a disability toilet and a hearing loop and large print hymn books and order of service. Assistance dogs are welcome inside the church.
Brief Description:
The church was build around 1340, but the presence of a 700 year old Sanctuary/Saunce Bell indicates a Christian community or church even earlier. Due to its high location, 175ft tower and reputation as a landmark for mariners navigating The Wash, the church has been called ‘God’s rocket to heaven’!
