Details
Accessibility:
There is a large tarmacked area suitable for parking at the west end of the church yard which is accessed from the road. There is level access via a pavement to the tall double churchyard gates, which are wide and level. The main doorway into the porch has a small step (around an inch high) to negotiate.
The closest public toilets are on West Street in Whitland.
Description:
St Mary's Church sits alongside what used to be a stone road bridge carrying the B4328. Since that road was diverted 30 metres to the west the church is now on a no-through road and, as such, is in very peaceful surroundings.
The church was built between 1850-1853 with a nave, chancel, inward leaning bellcote, large porch and steeply angled roof. There are two stained glass windows - one from 1863 and the other, more modern, from 1989.
