Accessibility:
There are steps leading to the church, which would be a problem for wheelchair users, however, there is a ramp through the church doorway. There is no parking at the church itself but there is public pay and display parking just a short walk away in Whitehart Street and Bridge Street.
Brief Description:
Grade II listed St Peter's Church is one of three surviving medieval churches in Thetford; the present building was constructed in the 14th century. The church is known as the ‘Black Church’ due to the chequer-board pattern that the knapped flint creates on the tower. This is no longer a place of worship; it is for hire from Thetford Town Council.
