Brief Description:

Founded in the early 12th century the remains of this monastery were once one of the largest of its kind in Medieval East Anglia. The beautiful remains still include the lower walls of the church and cloister and an almost complete 14th century gatehouse.

Directions:

From Norwich, take the A11 to Thetford, then turn off on the A1066 until you reach a roundabout and take the exit for Norwich Road. Turn right on to St Nicholas Road and then take the first left to Water Lane, following the road until you reach the car park.
