Accessibility:

There are two small steps down in through the main gate from the pavement. There is then a paved pathway leading to the front door with a small step/lip through the doorway. There is a small cork mat just inside the entrance door. The internal flooring is wooden throughout.

Once inside there is limited space due to the rows of pews, however there is enough space for wheelchair access.

Please note there are no toilets on site.

Brief Description:

Tolpuddle Methodist Church is a grade II listed building, built in 1818. It has undergone emergency repairs by the building preservation trust helped by funds from English heritage. Started in February 2015, restoration is hoping to be completed by 2018 to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the opening of the building.

Directions:

Situated 3.2 miles from Bere Regis. Take A35 W from Bere Regis. Look for exit toward Warmwell/Crossways/Tolpuddle and then turn right onto Dorchester Road. This will lead onto Main Road. After 0.9 miles the Church will be on the left hand side.
