There is no parking on the bridge. There is a pedestrian section on both sides of the bridge which is wheelchair accessible.


Brief Description:

Built in 1929, Boothferry Bridge was the first road crossing over the River Ouse and was built to replace the Booth’s Ferry. It is a swing bridge (a bridge that can be rotated horizontally to allow ships through) which takes the A614 over the river between Goole and Howden.

From Hull via A63 and M62 (26.5m). Take Queen’s Dock Avenue, Lowgate and High Street to Castle Street/A63. Follow A63 and M62 to Boothferry Road/A614 in East Riding of Yorkshire for 24.6 miles. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Boothferry Road/A614.


From Scunthorpe via M180 (30.3m). Take Doncaster Road to M181. Take M180 and M18 to A614 in East Riding of Yorkshire for 26.9 miles. Take exit 37 from M62. Drive to Boothferry Road/A614
