Accessibility:

There is limited blue badge parking available please ask at Wilberforce House reception or telephone 01482 616428 in advance of your visit to discuss your requirements.  Alternatively two on street blue badge only parking bays are available on Ghandi Way approximately 70m from the Museums Quarter entrance. The Hull and East Riding Museum is fully wheelchair accessible with lifts to all floors. There are public toilets including wheelchair accessible and baby changing facilities. There are facilities for the hearing and visually impaired. Assistance dogs are welcome. There is also a picnic site.


Brief Description:

The Hull and East Riding Museum is a natural history and archaeology museum with some of the most spectacular displays in Britain, including the only dinosaur bones to have been found in East Yorkshire. There are also modern display which take you back in time to how people used to live.

Directions:

From Beverley via A1079 (13.4m). Head north east on Newbegin towards Lairgate/A164. Turn left onto Lairgate/A164. Turn left onto York Road/A1174. Follow A1079 and A1033 to Cleveland Street/A1165 in Hull for 9.8 miles. Continue on A1165. Drive to High Street.

 

From Barton upon Humber via Humber Bridge/A15 and A63 (11m) (this route has tolls). Get on Humber Bridge/A15 from Ferriby Road/A1077. Follow A15 and A63 to Market Place in Hull for 9.3 miles. Continue on Market Place. Drive to High Street.
