Accessibility:
There is parking next to the Estalagem Eira do Serrado hotel with disability spaces. The hotel, visitor centre and toilets are disability friendly. The main viewing platform is along a paved path that is slightly inclined with small steps, however, three-quarters of the path is flat, although uphill, and wheelchair accessible.

Situated in the heart of the mountainous region north of Funchal, and set at around 3000ft, the viewpoint at Eira Do Serrado offers stunning panoramic views over Curral das Freiras. If you are not able to negotiate the path (slight incline and small steps) up to the viewpoint the Eira Do Serrado hotel also offers stunning views from its restaurant/café.

Directions:
Follow the ER107 north from Funchal until the road turns into the VE6. Turn left onto an unnamed road before you enter the tunnel. The car park is around 0.5 miles along this road. Beware of coaches and larger vehicles using this narrow, twisting road.
