There is parking at Pico do Arieiro viewpoint, with reserved disability spaces at the entrance. There are toilet facilities, including a disability toilet. There are steps up to the viewpoint, but there is a stairlift for use by wheelchair users and those unable to climb stairs.
Brief Description:
The Pico do Arieiro viewpoint is situated at the second highest point on Madeira Island, at 1,818 metres. From here there is a panoramic view of the island’s central mountain range, as well as the starting point for one the trails to the island’s highest point - Pico Ruivo - at 1,862 metres.
