Situated on the corner of Church Road and Station Road there is parking available on both streets, although Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm there is a maximum stay of 90 minutes. The entrance to the grounds from the high street is via a wide gate. The ground within is a level lawn with a wide tarmac path from the gate that leads to the entrances. To enter the main door there are two steps, there is also a side entrance to St Catherine's Hall that can be accessed up 5 steps which include handrails.

Once inside there is a wide aisle for easy access and 3 steps that lead up to he alter area. 


Brief Description:


Situated in the town of Port Erin, St Catherine's Church has a seafront location. Along with 3 other churches it serves the Parish of Rushen on the island. Originally built between 1878-1880 it is dedicated to St Catherine of Alexandria who lived at the beginning of the 4th century. Information and memorabilia can be purchased within the church. The church is constructed of dressed stone and Manx slate and has an impressive open pitched timber roof.

Directions:


Situated approximately 14 miles South West of Douglas.

Travel south out of Douglas on the A5 until you reach Ballasalla. Once at the roundabout at the end of the road, take the second exit right. When you reach the next roundabout take the 1st exit left and continue on the A7 for approximately half a mile. Turn left on to the A3 and follow to the end of the road. Turn right on to the A5 and follow until you reach Port Erin. Once you reach Beach Road, turn right on to Castletown Road. Cross the first roundabout second exit. St Catherine's Church can be found at the end of the road on the right hand side.
