Accessibility:

St Mary's Guildhall is very old and has narrow and low-height doorways, uneven or sloping floors and short flights of steps. There is a stair lift to the Great Hall, another stairlift within the Great Hall, to allow closer inspection of the tapestry, and a third to offer wheelchair access to Godiva's café and Undercroft. Staff are available for assistance.

Large print information is available and there are tactile items in some of the rooms. 

There is access to a disability-friendly toilet. There are several disability designated parking spaces within a short distance of the Guildhall on Bayley Lane. The area is largely cobbled with pavements that can be narrow or non-existent.

Coventry city has a Shopmobility service which is located on the ground floor of Barracks car park, directly behind the Upper Precinct (CV1 1DD). The car park itself has disability parking spaces, which are located close to the shopmobility centre. Powered and un-powered wheelchairs and scooters can be hired free of charge from the Shopmobility office. It is recommended that these are booked in advance over the telephone on 024 7683 2020 (Mon-Sat: 8.45am-4.30pm). Brief Description:

St Mary's Guildhall faces the south side of the Old Coventry Cathedral ruins across Bayley Lane in the city’s Cathedral Quarter. As a fine medieval guildhall, it offers magnificent interiors, artworks and details of Coventry’s rich history. The venue is now available for hire for meetings, weddings and private functions.

There is a Park & Ride scheme based in the War Memorial Park (Kenilworth Road, CV3 6PT) and operates seven days a week to and from the city centre. There is free parking for 400 vehicles and the bus services run every 10-15 minutes – there is a charge for the bus service.
